We, James Simmons, Fred Binggeli and Jim Nietfeld came aboard
the USS William C. Miller on commissioning
day 2 July 1943.
Upon reaching Hawaii after passing through the Panama Canal,
the three of us were transferred to the USS Anderson DD-411,
We served out the remainder of the war on this ship.
