I joined the Miller crew after it returned to Pearl from the Saipan/Tinian operation
and just before heading back to the States for overhaul. I had attended both
Gunners Mate and Advance Gunners Mate schools in electric hydraulics,
before coming aboard the William C. Miller and being assigned
to the Gunnery division.
