Leon Condley

This picture was taken at my High School graduation, I left from High School and joined the Navy. I went to Boot Camp at Farragut Idaho. After boot camp I went to Treasure Island in San Francisco, from where I was assigned to the USS William C. Miller, which was in Pearl at the time. I hitched a ride on the USS Guffy. I went aboard the William C. Miller on October 27 1943 and was a crewmember on her until she was struck from the Navy's list on 8 January 1946, I had attained the rate of MMoM2c by the time I left the ship. I then proceeded to Great Lakes, Illinois for discharge on February 4 1946.
